Since our brainstorm on AI in MS at the pre-evening of ECTRIMS2025, we have now transformed officially into the “international community for AI in MS” (iAIMS).
All of this would not have been possible without your continued enthusiasm. Thank you!
In the last year, we achieved the following:
1. We launched this website
2. We created an iAIMS Discord channel to facilitate communication
3. We hosted several journal clubs on AI methodology, trustworthiness, and the perspective of persons with MS on AI
4. Our proposal for an educational session at MSToronto 2026 on AI for researchers and clinicians was accepted
5. We drafted a manuscript on a guiding framework for clinically meaningful AI in MS, currently under consideration
The time has now come to establish a formal board structure to continue these efforts. We would like to suggest a two-phase process:
In this phase, we ask feedback on a first proposal of the board structure (v1), which you can download here.
Please review this document and provide any feedback up until 28/07/2026 at 23:59 CET by filling out the following Google Forms.
The options are:
1. Approve without modifications.
2. Approve with modifications.
3. No approval. Need for a new review round.
The final board structure from phase 1 will be posted on this web page for you to download. We invite anyone to nominate themselves or others via a Google Forms (will be included in the web page) up until 25/08/2026 at 23:59 CET.
Lastly, we publicly announce the candidates in the week after the end of phase 2a on this web page, after which you can vote via Google Forms (to be announced on this web page) up until 08/09/2026 at 23:59 CET. After review in the week after, we will announce the final board structure!
We are very much looking forward to your contributions.
Please do not hesitate to get involved in the creation of our board, inform friends and colleagues about it, and shape with us the future of iAIMS!
